The World’s Curviest Yoga Class Recap – DC May 2011

May 24, 2011 |  by  |  Events

May 20th weekend was fantastic for DC area families interested in getting out and doing a little body moving.

Friday, Alumni Wellness presented an introduction to meditation with a weekend course taught by Light Watkins. Sunday hundreds of families converged on Hains point to take part in the 5K walk sponsored by Weight Watchers and produced by our partner, the DC Running Club. Though both of these were great, my favorite event was Saturday afternoon’s debut of “The World’s Curviest Yoga Class.”

The class was a lot of fun and definitely challenging. When is the last time YOUR yoga class played Lil’ Wayne? The emotion in the music is so contagious and makes the class so much fun.

Thanks to Capitol Hill martial Arts (aka MAFA) for hosting the class for us. Check them out on the web and www.CapitolHillMartialArts.com.

Be sure to join us when we bring “The World’s Curviest” events to your town.
