Is Junk Food Really Cheaper?

This was an article put out by The New York Times back in September 2011. For many families with multiple kids and multiple schedules it is more of a question of time than money. It is simply faster to grab fast-food than it is to prepare a dinner made up of whole foods after homework and soccer practice. But after taking a look at the visual breakdown below, it is clear that being prepared will make all the difference in the world between a stop at McDonalds and eating at home.

Solution: Before taking the kids to their evening soccer practice prepare a quick dinner while they complete their homework. Once you return home reheat and serve dinner, throw the kids in the shower and call it a day. This will help you save money, get the kids to bed on time and allow you some family time for dinner!
