After a tough workout, taxing the fibers of your hard earned muscle it’s your big chance to get a few hard earned and well deserved carbs! Putting your muscle to work depletes them of necessary sugars that you should be happy to return. Of the tools of choice for those in the know is the beautiful and delicious sweet potato.

The jambalaya was really good, filling – I couldn’t finish the bowl. Overall, the meal was quick (took roughly 20 minutes), easy and flavorful – perfect.
Lately I have been making deliberate changes to my diet in order to reduce fat, get lean, and of course look and feel my best.
There are two books that I have found extremely useful in terms of providing delicious meal ideas that are simple, and will support my goals. The results are coming in so I decided to share a few of the meals that I prepared from the books for you to check out for yourself. Check out this quick dinner entree, and try it with a side or steamed broccoli or another non-starchy vegetable.

The Uber Salad is one of my first home grown recipes.
I was trying to eat better and adopt a salad that I would really enjoy, and that was better than the iceberg lettuce based standards in the restaurants. I wanted to end up with a product that would be great for me and that I would’t quickly get bored with.
I’m always on the lookout for meals with a great balance of protein, dietary fiber, and great taste. Once I find them I’m like Charles Barkley buying 5 of the same shirt in different colors.
THIS is one of those meals. It’s loaded with protein, good fats, fiber and it’s absolutely delicious! So put this one on your list of great post workout meals or great snacks. Let me know what you think.
